SACRED PLACES

These four images were taken in two redundant churches on the East coast. I was struck by the sacred qualities that transcended the religious and liturgical focusing on the altars which had not been used for some time, witnesses to lost narratives and people. There was a palpable spirituality and sense of the mythical in their semi-abandonment which took them beyond the merely archeological.
